Boot up in safe mode. If you have an antivirus program, run a full scan to check for any intrusions or spyware. If not, I recommend getting one.
It's also possible that the antivirus itself is blocking you from accessing the internet. Try to update it if you can. If you can't, uninstall it (and reinstall it later so the settings are reset). This should allow all your 32-bit applications to work.
Just skip all this complicated crap and install the free web browser Firefox or Google Chrome. They are far better than Internet Explorer in pretty much every aspect.
go buy a anti virus. at best buy, frys,radio shack, or any local trusted tech store.

if you already have an AV, do 3 full scans. 1st to clean it out,2 to get rid of any viruses that come on the same file of the V that just got deled. 3rd to clean up any aftermath. i do this all the time. Y4-es som viruses do that.
Lolmann-Maybe it's because you're impatient that Internet Explorer doesn't work for you. Internet Explorer is very fast for me. The problem is probably Firewall barring your connections, like DC said.
