Do you mean an app that lets you design your own chatroom avatar?
It's nice in theory, but that wouldn't be too different from the idea of using paintings (which unfortunately, would create considerable lag). Even if the paint app could be altered in some way to reduce the image's file size, there would still be access issues. In other words, it would be difficult to get personalized avatars in chatrooms.
I think all you can hope for is that new avatar pictures get uploaded.
I may allow members to use paintings as avatars in the 3DSPaint chatrooms. If I add that feature, those avatars would not show in the DSiPaint chatrooms, and they would be resized to be less memory-intensive for the .75sec refreshes that chatrooms have.
is it like a app or something? I'm sure that great idea. but like what Hull said. this should be great if you were to use this for the 3DS chat rooms. but could this be like check mii out channel like from the wii?
“If you want to be fancy, hold your pinky finger like this. The higher you hold it, the fancier you are.â€
First off, paintings shrunk would destroy lag almost. But what's the point if you can't see the image? Shrinking reduces quality; So this is not going to happen. MAYBE on 3dspaint.
My ideal life; Living to the fullest, having fun, and geeking on a linux box.
i just dont like that idea. i think ya'll should be find with the avatars you have now,
because we all know that if you get the avatar you requested, you'll most likely use it once anyways
Another thing to consider about chat avatars is that they slightly decrease the post visibility on-screen. If paintings could be used in chatrooms, hopefully they and the pre-existing avatars could be slightly resized so that post height is not altered as much.
@PaintMaster More like 70, which doesn't even include the clickable ones.
