You are on a game show and there are 3 doors and behind one of the doors is the star prize... a car. Behind the other 2 there is nothing. You are asked to pick a door. 1 2 or 3?
Now choose a door.
Good now i will choose another door.(It has nothing behind it)
There are now 2 doors left i will give you the choice to take take the door you have or change your door to the 2nd one. Will changing the door increase your chances? or will it not matter (50 50 chance).
WHY? i will post the answer soon only after a few people have answered though.

It doesn't matter what number door you picked. You're supposed to decide whether or not you have a better chance of winning by either staying with your first choice, or by going with the one remaining choice.
I love logic problems, and this one's a classic. I won't spoil it for you guys.
Ok thanks for all the answers but i still have not gotten the right answer yet. as Limxzero said it does NOT matter what door you choose its a logic problem. Thanks limxzero for not spoiling the answer but if you know it say it. i will post the answer tonight mountain time.

So at first, there is a 33/33/33 chance. I choose a door, and you remove an incorrect one. But rather than change the chances to 50/50 it changes to 66/33 in the favor of the door I chose? That's just a guess... xp So it would be better to stay with the door I chose?
Ok like I promised here is the answer if there are typos sorry this is on my iPod.
Ok so first let's look at the chances of keepin the choice
first I ask you to pick a door
[1] [2] [3]
either way it's a 1/3 chance or 33%
say you picked door 2 your chance of it being a car are 1/3
now I will pick another door with nothing it has behind it.
Now I will choose to stay with the door I picked.
Now remember at the start we had a 33% chance so by not changing we get a 33% chance.
So by changing you get a 66% chance
yes it's hard to understand so let's make it a bit more simple
at the start we have a 33% chance when we pick a door if I pick door 3 there is a 66% chance I have nothing.
Therefor every time I pick a door with nothing behind it and switch I get a car.
Please message anything you don't understand.
