Current State of Pop Music

What do you guys think about today's pop music? I think it's horrible. It's all dance or techno with auto-tune. You don't even have to know how to play a real instrument and maybe how to sing to make it big. Maybe you just need a computer or something. And plus, the lyrics are meaningless and mostly gross. It's all about clubbing, getting drunk, etc. you know the rest. I know we all enjoy a good dance song from time to time, but really? All you need is a catchy song and good looks and maybe a outrageous theme to make it big today! There's only a few honestly good raw pop songs from truly talented people. The rest of the songs like that are not as mainstream. Anyway, just had to get that out. Do you agree with what i said? Why or why not?

I agree with SpakleShi, i like older music WAY better. What do you think i listen to anyway besides today's music? Also, gotta agree with Xenatized about Lady Gaga, i mean she can sing, i didn't say she couldn't, but she has more negatives than positives with her and her music.

lady gaga started nothin.... listen to the black eyed peas - the e.n.d. the whole album is auto tuned... i like it, but i do like listening to songs with actual instruments in them... :)

i hate pop
vocaloids are less synthisised then most popmusicians and all vocaloids are are computer programming which is why i listen to rock music, 99% of rock musicians use no synthsizers at all

When I turn on the radio, it's the same song over, and over again. Which is getting me a bit pissed off. The same beats, same kind of lyrics, everything. I turn to a different station, there it is again. When I go to Youtube, I listen to all the other music that should be getting more fame. Pop music was okay in the beginning, but now it's getting..Annoying.

I hate pop songs that copy others, most sound exactly the same, but I do like B.oB, Adele, Eminem, and Owl City, but man the 80's were great!, the 90's were good for rap though. I hate Lady Gaga, Justin Bieber, -cant say this bands name or I'll be banned but thy sing "party rock anthem"-, Rihanna, Katy Perry etc...pop in the 90's was REALLY bad .-.

Since the middle of 5th grade [I'm going into 8th], I realized that most pop music has no meaning, it gets stuck in your head, and it's all fake. I bet if you gave Ke$ha an acoustic set, she'd totally destroy it, because her voice sounds more like a dying walrus than anything else.

I have no idea how songs that are purely crap are known to EVERYONE [example- California Girls by Katy Perry], and amazingly beautiful songs that HAVE meaning are looked at as "weird" or "stupid", or not even heard of at all [example: The Legacy by Black Veil Brides].

Very amazing bands aren't even noticed for two idiotic reasons: 1) they are not "cool", and 2) the close-minded people who think anyone that dresses differently than them are evil or something. >-<"

I love pop. So, it's epic state of pop music. :*
