Do you like badges or prefer the awesome system?

I personally liked the awesome level thing better. Only because I could see my site stats

Both the Awesome system and the Badge system promote competition in their own ways, and that's perfectly alright--until it turns into spam. With a site that is supposed to be fun, prevention should come more in the form of counteraction, rather than restricting means.

Catch my drift.

Awsome system is better but prefer both of them.

@marioman192 The Awesome system incorporated all the different things, which are now recorded by badges, into a single level which could range from "new" to "awesome". The totals for things like paintings, profile comments, featured blogs, etc were also displayed on your profile. (This was before Saviis so there were no points/bucks.)

Again, it is highly debatable whether totals+level or points+badges encouraged spam more.
