An earthquake struck off the coast of Japan today. A tsunami occured shortly afterword. It was an 8.9 magnitude - one of the most powerful on record.

- What are your thoughts/feelings about this disaster?

- Were you in Japan when it happened?

- Know anybody that was effected in some way?

2 of my best friends have relatives in Japan, and they were crying in school all day because they were afraid for their lives. My thoughts and prayers go out to the victims and their families of this tragedy. <3

I saw this on a news report. I saw a guy running. :p The Tsunami was powerful, too. The water of the Tsunami was black. It was terrifying.

The tsunami hit all west coast of North America.
A Nuclear Power Plant in japon is having a problem cooling down the reactor. The Radiation level in the building is increasing.

That's the last i heard of it...
Where there is light, there is always darkness.

KoD: that's the latest problem. Thousands more could be killed if the reactor has a meltdown. Guys, think about Nintendo. Their headquarters is in Japan.

It hit the main island. The one with tokyo. I hope my cousins are ok. I checked nintendo of japan's ws, it was down. i checked nintendo of america's website, it was up and running. From what i heard, the sony building got crushed. And nintendo got jacked up. Good-bye....3ds.

I hope the death toll doesn't go up to high.
And if the plant blows up like Chernobyl we got a huge problem there..
And I saw a video the building was kinda' like dancing!

Nintendo of Japan is gone. Tokyo got hit. Miyamoto is probably dead... I MEAN, OF COURSE, NOBODY AT NINTENDO DIED. THAT CAN'T HAPPEN!

It's so horrible...the nuclear plant blew up. It's okay, though, apparently most of the radioactive material is contained. And the area is evacuated.

WOW!!! You guys are... nevermind. It is like "Hell" over there right now. I am feeling very upset because my friends and their family (Pen Pal) are "missing" BUT I am not losing HOPE!!! I know they are still alive. ^_^ Nintendo Company are ok!!! Nobody got hurt!!! Get your freaking facts right you selfish people. Also the Nintendo 3DS actually saved someone life. Just Saying. Also anything "bad" can happen to you right now unexpectedly.

I lost Neku. One of my few friends, and you are just there worrying about the things you care about and not people who actually DIED? im sorry, but you people deserve to have your own private tsunami, and 5 nuclear power reactors having meltdowns all on your house.

The good news is all of Japan's strict building codes sure paid off. There would have been much, much more deaths if it weren't for their earthquake reinforced structures!
