To those who even mention Nintendo or Car Parts, ugh. I see two sides: The Economical-Side, and the Selfish Noob-Side. Clearly, you are caught up in the latter...
There, because of missing car parts, Toyota is closing up in North Amarica. 400 people have just lost there jobs.
Still think mentioning car parts is 'ugh'?
This is a big problem!
People are loosing there job over what happened in Japan.
What happened in Japan, will effect the whole world.
Follow up on the dog Shugo Chara mentioned up there:
The dog was rescued and reunited with the owner. The owner reconised her dog when she heard about it on the news. And that is how the dog got reunitted with the owner.
Well emergency work is still going on, though I expect that it is becoming somewhat more desperate due to the amount of time that has passed since the disaster. The death count so far is a staggering 12,000+, with about 15,000 more still missing. Recovery is happening slowly, due in part to the fact that Japan's Red Cross hasn't been utilizing donations as efficiently as possible. As for the radiation plants, work is continuing on stopping radioactive leakage; notably, one plant has successfully cut off the flow of radioactive water out to sea. Pretty much all factories (mainly vehicle assembly) will remain inactive for at least another week. So the yen is obviously steadily falling. The costs of all the damage are estimated to top the equivalent of $300 billion. The Japanese government is planning to both dip into reserves and cut down on spending programs instead of selling bonds and adding to their already ballooned debt.
