I've begun work on the new engine for TMJ on the Nintendo 3DS browser. At this point, some of the browser features are guesses on my part, so I will proceed with what I believe the capabilities to be then proceed from there. I will release screenshots and information over the coming weeks and have a teaser soon after the 3DS browser is available.

...could the 3DS Browser handle that?I'm not familiar with the engine you're speaking of, and the browser might even be able to handle a simplified version, but I doubt it will happen. The Final Fantasy-style game engine has already been worked on for a long time, recently been tweaked for the 3DS browser, so the way it will work is pretty cut and dry.
System updates expectedly tend not to update the internet browser, so don't get any hopes up. The browser's standard HTML and JS support should be adequate, but the real kicker is probably lack of HTML5.
