Alright, first off on the list:

"Three kindergartners in a Houston elementary school were wounded Tuesday when a loaded handgun fell out of a student's pocket, the school district said."

That kid wasn't wrong at all, for bringing a loaded gun to an elementary school. That means a 6-10y/o got a hold of agun, and thought it'd be cool to hear it go "bang-bang". On what, I don't know.

Next up:

Texas Wildfires are slowly encrooaching on more densely populated areas, having started from west Texas, and now running towards Dallas-Fort Worth.

Well, it's bone-dry there currently, and they haven't had much luck putting 'em out.

don't be so sure, there was 2 boys that.......NVM, this stuff is happening all across the country, and practicly in every school. this 6 year old brought a pocket knife & stabed his frend in my old school. the hurricanes r coming, so maybe THAT could almos put out the fires?

I live here in Texas, and we have several worrisome issues, ranging from the wildfires near Possum Kingdom to a huge budget deficit. :/

It's my job to help the next generation, and set a good example for them. And for that I'll gladly lay down my life.

KoD, reraed it. It said that the kindergartners were shot, and the gun fell out of a student's pocket, which i assume he would be in 5th grade.

@iciownu Wound =/= kill, and when when a gun hits the ground with enough force it can go off. As to how it wounded THREE people, I'm not sure. :/

Also, kinda weird how that happened around the same day [April 20, 1996 I think?] as the Columbine High School Massacre. :/

@Ici: They cannot go to "jail, per se. They have "Juvie", aka; Juvenile Detention Center. I have no comment on those, as they profit for so many wrong reasons, [as I'm referencing one in Pittburgh,]...

Ram but sometimes they ship 14-17 year olds to Adult Jail for behaving really bad.

@Syed: That's true, and it depends on the state, too... And, obviously, the offense. But, guns seem to be a "positive" and "manly" thing in Texas, so it might not be so severely "dealt with".
