They do have disc repair kits and devices available at stores like Best Buy or Office Depot, as well as music stores which often have repair equipment.
However, I know of several "common" remedies.
- Simply clean the disc of dust and smudges by running warm water over it and letting it air-dry.
- Rotate the disc beneath a light bulb to warm it up, then try playing it while it's warm.
- Polish the scratch with toothpaste (non-gel) on a soft cloth directly outward from the inside to the outside edge. Keep in mind that this is risky, and could further damage your disc.
Good luck... My Nintendo Wii was so messed up that not even then Nintendo Wii disk cleaner OR ANYTHING couldn't work D: My Nintendo Wii lived a healthy life... God Bless
if its a deep scratch, your screwed cuz the information that would be on that scratch mark is gone forever screweing up your game, so if you cant fix it, try buying a new game...
sorry about your luck
Lesson learned. You always hold a disk threw the middle hole, for a finger(middle precisely), and the rest of your fingers on the edge. Never touch the bottom of a disk.
The toothpaste technique has saved most of my gamecube games. Some of my favorites like Super Smash Bros Melee I failed to fix. This was a few months ago..
