Short stories from the likes of Poe, Doyle, Asimov, and Bradbury could turn out to be a nice area of venture. They would definitely contrast full-length novels.
Ah, summertime. I had hoped that this event/program was going to start in late June, when vacation starts and free time is a luxury for most. Should initiative be taken soon, there's still time left...
Today, actually about two hours ago, I picked up Rick Riordan(author known for the Percy Jackson series)'s book "The Red Pyramid. The book is like Riordan's other series, mythology based. Except instead of Greek, it is Egyptian. Knowing Riordan is a great author, I thought this book would be good.
It wasn't. IT'S AMAZING! At page four I was hooked. If you enjoy his other books, you will love The Kane series.
(P.S. I'm not done yet, but will be soon. Considering I picked it up two hours ago.)
4/5 People suffer from diarrhea. Does that mean the other enjoys it?
Hmm...reading at the moment: The Secret Army [Part of the Henderson's Boys series.] by Robert Muchamore (13/14+), Dracula by Bram Stoker (12+), The Great Space Race by Joshua Mowll (9+), The Switch by Anthony Hororwitz (9+), Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix by J.K. Rowling (10+) and The Magician ~ Secrets of the Immortal Nicholas Flamel, book two by Michael Scott (10+). They're all great so far as I've been switching from one to another.
I also recently read a book called "The strange incident of the dog in the nighttime" by someone I cant remember. Its about a boy called Christopher who is extremely smart but has Aspargers syndrome. Eh....to be honest I didn't like it, but it explained how a person with Aspargers syndrome thinks brilliantly. (13+ for reasons.)
Walk Two Moons is a great book,Because of Winn-Dixie,and The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane, both books written by Kate DiCamillo. You guys should read them if your interested.
