For obesity, we need to find better substitutes for fat in products. And carbs. A great natural resource that we might be able to use us water. I've heard that some car industries are trying to create a water-powered car. And I think also a hydrogen powered one. We will eventually find other abundant resources other than oil/coal, we just need more time.
Communism: You have more water, everyone has more water!
companies only want one thng- MONEY, they dont care aboutbmuch more...they have already succesfully created a water-powered engine, but its not in a high enough stage for development.
take away every bit of transportation exept for emergency vehicals etc or army vehicals and make everyone use bikes or walk etc. it would prob make everyone riot and stuff o3o
I dream of a better tomorrow, where chickens can cross the road and not be questioned about their motives.
Yeah.. companies only care about money so they mass produce cheap fatty stuff you can hardly call food. And they feed their livestock garbage and steroids. I only eat fast food maybe 10 times a year and when I do it's just a salad or a parfait or something.. I'd never give that to my kids it's disgusting. And making your kids that obese should be, like, abuse.
Eh, about transportation, they need to get rid of those freaking stupid hummers and stuff at least. They don't even make sense. And I hope those water powered engines can use salt water, otherwise I'd rather continue using gas, because that`s an enormous waste of water.
@Teh: Exactly, in the cases where Diabetes is involved. I hate to belittle my kind, but, most of the Mexicans in Chicago, the 4-7 year-olds are wider than me, and I'm 14.
Companies don't always care just about money. Most NEED to care about the customers. And some do. I may be a hippie-ish person, but you don't need to bash the mega-corps ALWAYS... Well, until it becomes a monopoly controlled by one, THEN I'll resume bashing...
Whoa bro, better slow down bro, don't wanna be a bro, bro.
Enough with this rubbish! A companies top priority is consumer appeal. If all forget about that, then they'd never prosper. You see, it appeals to the consumer to consume such goods. No argument, unless you're talking about Microsoft or Apple.
My ideal life; Living to the fullest, having fun, and geeking on a linux box.
@Syed: Exactly, thank you. And according to you, it's still no argument, you say Linux is getting them both... Or at least Microsoft. Watch Linux make a game system.
Whoa bro, better slow down bro, don't wanna be a bro, bro.
Diabetes doesn't make you obese.. if you tried to eat healthy and excersise you wouldn't end up obese. I know people with diabetes and although they are a teensy bit cubbier than they should be they are far from obese.. obesity isn't hereditary. obesity is people never moving and eating fatty, sugary, carby foods like there's a shortage.
No Neon, it is hereditary. Some genes cause you tohave a real low metabolism rate, which in turn makes it harder for your body to burn the food fOr energy. The extra food that isn't used for energy, is fat.
Communism: You have more water, everyone has more water!
@Waffle: One of my favorite documentaries... Nearly all the others being Micheal Moore films, of course. ^FT^
@Neon: It IS hereditary, as Teh is saying. Both sides of my family have it, and looking at the generation pattern it has, I'm next for it.
I'd also like to point out, you can never "get rid of" fat cells. That's why I laugh at people who have liposuction, or take pills! The fat cells are like, well... Sponges. The sponges[your fat cells] get a nice and tasty meal out of the excess water[your meal] that your body has left over. Thus, the sponges inflate. A little inflation isn't bad. But, it's when there is so little nutrients in the water, that the body can't get anything out of it, when those damn sponges start to gorge. And inflate. Before you know it, you're a tomato. So, the real way to not "get fat", is to merely eat a things with a bit more nutrients, and less filler.
I'm not sure if I'm on-topic still, so...
Whoa bro, better slow down bro, don't wanna be a bro, bro.
yes. exactly im with neon↑ yeah obesity is hereditery in some cases most cases are from the parents whether it be from abuse at home or their parents quite frankly buy them whatever they want and they don't limit them on what they are eating, they don't make them go outside and play. seriously? you dont call that child abuse. your not caring about your children's health.
