The PvP demo has been broken for a long time. As far as I know, you are able to choose an opponent or create a new battle, but the actual battle mechanics usually don't run.
Catch my drift.

Yup its basic a good show of what the battle system will look like screens in back look cool but thats about it
Lifes like a game there are those who are good at it and those who need practice.

It has been broken since August.

I only ever tried it once or twice when it was working.
