What are humans most drawn to? "Taboo" things. Think about it. Kids like to stay up late and eat junk food. Teenagers like to [try and] have sex. Adults... Well, I don't know what the hell they like. Robbing? Okay, robbery. But, drugs probably fall and share between the Teen and Adult Demographic. So, if you were to legalize Marijuana, it would suddenly not become appealing. Not suddenly, but, the fact that you don't get reprimanded for it would make it seem less worth doing. And furthermore, if kids are presented with equal information from both sides, not just "Drugs are bad, Mmkay?", then maybe, they'd understand more.
