You're right to a degree... Being in fellowship with believers and discussing scripture is amazing, but it can never replace the personal time we each need to spend with Christ. Our God is a God of relationship. Relationships are personal. We can talk to God anytime we want. And when we want to hear from Him, we just need to open our Bibles, (or an online Bible, but nothing beats a real one) and read with open hearts. Just spending time with Him, learning, worshiping, anything really, makes so much of a difference.
Think of your friends. If you never talked to me or spent time with me, then we wouldn't be friends. Our relationship would grow stale as brothers and eventually cease to exist. With God, it's the same thing. Make sense?

This is stereotypical of me to say, but if nothing else, be His light. By your words, your actions, your choices, et cetera. It's not hard if you keep praying and reading your Bible (even online), because the more you know Him and love Him, the easier it is for you to be like Him.
