You mean in Pokemon?

You can tell your regular Trainer ID just by looking at Trainer Card, but if you're trying to figure out your SID (your Secret ID) for RNG manipulation to get Shinies or something, I'll have to refer you to this.

It only works in the Gen 3 and 4 games, though, and it is a rather difficult and time-consuming process.
(Plus you already have to have caught a Shiny Pokemon at least once and still have it.)
