I'd recommend it. Besides, I need someone to play with besides Twist and Maxi. Maxi spends most his time sibring Yuki now anyway.

I guess so. But the 3DS has a much stronger holiday line-up. Not counting Mario titles, Professor Layton, Castlevania, Code of Princess, Animal Crossing, and a few others. Plus the already strong line-up of non-Mario titles, Resident Evil, Kingdom Hearts, Theatrhythm, Heroes of Ruin, Kid Icarus, Metal Gear Solid, etc. Didn't bother counting the Pokemon either. 6 Mario titles and 3 Pokemon titles.
And I'm playing NSMB2, currently. Which is actually better than I expected. I didn't like the look of it at first, but they actually pulled it off.

Nintendo does make other games, yet people tend to ignore them for Mario titles. So they make what sells. The only new game I heard announced for the Vita was Little King's Story 2. And that's honestly the first title on the system to interest me. Their only "big" game of the holidays is Sony Smash Sisters.

More than that. If you divide the amount of games by months until Christmas, it's like a game and a half per month. We'll be generous and round it up to 2. Compared with the 3DS, which not only has a solid foundation to begin with, but a library that's growing almost exponentially. Count in the overwhelming third-party support, which the Vita lacks, and I can see the Vita failing by the holidays. Really, if the only game worth buying on the original PSP was Monster Hunter, which is now being produced for the 3DS, I don't get why Sony even bothered with a new system.
