I found an Atomik Brian Deegan 4wd RTR (whatever that means) used for $75 counting shipping. It has 20 or 30 bucks upgraded in it.

The reason I wanna try RC is just mainly to upgrade/mod/screw 'em up. Since I enjoy AEG gearboxes (google it, and you can see how simple they are), I thought I may like RC cars.

Once again, I'd stay away from Traxxas if you could. Buying stuff used is okay, just make sure it's running before you hand over the money. The reason I'm against Traxxas is the parts are weak, and you'll be throwing money at it constantly. ZStar cars are a little pricey, but you get good quality. I'd suggest getting an Atomik 1/18th Short Course like mine. Even though they're discontinued, you could always look at EBay or Kijiji, etc. I'll try to find you a link to the Himoto one... (My 1/18th Atomik is actually a rebranded Himoto. Everything is the same)

I was looking at used RC Traxxas 2wd (?), but is a used RC okay to buy? I'm thinking about getting one.

A MOSFET controls the voltage so you don't burn up your trigger contacts.
So... Many... Battlebots...
Some of the main guns: M4, M16, FAMAS, G36, MP5, MP5K, M14, AK, TAVOR 21, AUG, THOMPSON, M9, 1911.
Some of the main gun companies: Tokyo Marui, KWA, G&P, G&G, JG, Cyma, DBoys, JP, WE.
Just a few off the top of my head.

Interesting. I've never talked to anyone about RC, so this I'm learning alot.
Actually in recent years, people have been putting things called MOSFETs in their guns to help control the voltage so parts don't burn up on LiPos, and for guns like the M4, you can buy a circuit board that works as both the trigger assembly and a MOSFET. Airsoft is definitely starting to become more complicated like RCs.
