What could make a future Mario game exciting?

If Nintendo brang back the Mega-Mushroom

If Nintendo included the ultimate plot twist.

If Nintendo forced the player to die at certain levels.

If Nintendo revised very old games (like Mario Bros. and Kirby's Adventure) with better (maby 3D, but not 3DS 3D) graphics.

If Nintendo created the same Pokemon game (say Grey for Wii, DS, 3DS, upcoming WiiU) where they are all interconnectable via wireless and Wi-Fi.
