Many of you know what puppy mills are. You know that they're bad. But, do you know how bad? Here are some facts I've compiled from work & images I've gotten from the internet to tell the true horrors of what suffering these dogs go through:

Puppy Mills

•They're often over crowded, & unsanitary, with poor health conditions & a low supply of food, water, & human interaction.
•Dogs are bred as often as possible & it's not uncommon for a 'Puppy Mill' dog to have had 4+ litters by the time they hit 2 years old.
• The people who own these puppy mills care little about the dogs' physical & mental health.
•Dogs are usually have poor health & behavior & puppies often have pneumonia or other respiratory issues immediately following their birth. Puppies ,ight also have genetic issues that go undetected for years.
•Breeding dogs suffer constantly. They're keptin timy, cramped cages where they're forced to live in their own urine & feces, having minimal human contact, & having litter after litter until they can no longer have puppies (usually by age 5) at which time they are dumped, sold to labratories, or killed by being shot or bashed in the head with a rock.
•No states have a law against breeding kennels keeping dogs in their cages for their entire lives as long as they have food, shelter, & water.
•There are THOUSANDS of Puppy Mills that sell directly to the public, allowing them to escape the inspection by the USDA (United States Department of Agriculture).
•Dogs from Puppy Mills are often not pure-bred & the breeders often lie about their lineage.
•According to federal law, liscenced Puppy Mills must not sell puppies under 8 weeks of age, but the ones that are undetected & sell to the public often sell at 5 or 6 weeks the latest.
