I have a 6 year old palomino quarter horse mare. Shes stubborn, but I love her. I also consider the german shephard mix outside dog mine. We got him from a local pound. You don't know love and loyalty until you get a pound dog! <3
On June 6, 2013, my dog died. I watched my stepdad's horse stomp the life out of him. I held him as he cried. I cradled him in my arms as we rushed him to the vet. I kissed him goodbye for the last time, trusting the vet that he meant it when he said my dog would be fine and I'd see him again. My whole body screamed to stay with my dog. His lung collapsed and he died 30 minutes after I left.
Gus was my best friend. He was my baby boy. I've never loved anything or anyone as much as I loved that mutt. I will always miss him. R.I.P. He was only 3 years old.
