Hello 3DSPaint.

The 3D album has been here since the earlier days of the 3DS browser release (and obviously 3DSpaint official release), not many of you are aware that unlike other apps of the community (Wii, DS, 3DS paint) the current number of members in charge of taking care of the 3D photo album is very short.

Short maybe because Daniel (Hullbreach) decided to keep it short. This doesn't mean inappropriate content will not be noticed, because all 3 of us are very dedicated, but obviously its a harder work.

In order to make it easier for everyone, i decided to make a blog covering some of the picture deleting reasons and correct ways to use the 3D album. Please note that the content here is not "official" since volunteers in the site moderate at own discretion but its based on what I discussed with who is in charge of the 3D album, of course this is based on my own ways of moderating.



The 3D album is dedicated to 3D pictures and 3 DIMENSIONAL pictures only., i know this is pretty obvious, but i still have to delete a lot of 2D pictures on a weekly basis, that doesn't count what other admins might be deleting as well.*

* This problem was fixed by an update, now 2D pictures can't be uploaded.

Pictures taken from the internet and: modified to be 3D, or natively in 3D will also be deleted, why? Because it also counts as plagiarism.

Images with irrelevant 3D drawing will also be deleted, like:

This also applies to the depth/volume modeling tool.





Before posting please be aware:

Your pictures are being posted publicly, this means members will be allowed to download them. Do not post pictures of people without their consent.

Which means: Please Don't upload pictures from other people without them knowing you are doing so.



You have a simple, yet amazing 3D camera in your hands, play around with depth/volume and space effects and you can get pretty nice pictures,

Its something nice to play arround and get pictures with nice textures and effects, what is better is that our wonderful community accepts these 3D pictures and you can share them with anyone, its something of high value because not even facebook has support for that now.

But I ask you: Please lets make it a healthly pass-time, and don't forget the rules. Nobody wants to have the work to upload a whole album of copyrighted images and have it deleted because of that, so share this information with our friends in the site.

This blog is a modified version of 02Sep11 's "Using the 3D album." blog, i felt it was needed to re-post it because we've been receiving an unusual amount of pictures that don't match the 3D album standards.

The airplane model was given to my dad. He works at that company. Only 50 of that model were made and only who works at specific positions was given one of these

You can do that with the 3DS browser already, click the image. When it shows up in 3D click "save to SD card"
