OK, lately, there's been a lot of news regarding classic videogame series, like Tomb Raider and Castlevania, being rebooted (remade) into new beginnings and experiences. This has transpired into an overwhelming trend in some case, and companies have begun to work with other foreign computer gaming groups to refine these franchises. The reason has been described as "modernizing for the common age," as said by one developer from Square Enix. Overtime, we may see familiar classic franchises "reborn" into newer, possibly better versions to stand the test of time. Below is a list of videogame reboots that have been or will be released:
.) Fallout (Fallout 3)
.) Medal of Honor (remake)
.) Castlevania (Lords of Shadow)
.) Tomb Raider (reboot)
.) Mortal Kombat (reboot)
.) Tetris (remake)
.) Sonic the Hedgehog (kind of)
.) Oddworld (random)
.) Deus Ex (reboot)
.) Armored Core (TBA)
.) Xenosaga (reboot...kinda)
.) MediEvil (remake)
.) Bionic Commando (remake)
.) Dark Void (remake)
.) Marathon (reboot)
.) Duke Nukem Forever (reboot)
.) Half-Life (reboot)
.) Fable (rumored)
.) The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim (reboot)

Additionally, Nintendo was also considering rebooting the Zelda, Metroid, and Starfox series to appeal to hardcore gamers (ugh). Over the next decade or so, we will notice the change in the videogame industry, see familiar games we grew up with, changed or scarred with time. What lies in wait remains unknown at this time.
