Kso, I'ma gonna jump right into this one. Hotel Transylvania begins with Count Dracula raising his "young" daughter, Mavis. As she gets older she wants to see the outside world. Dracula declines her request because he states that there is a world full of Humans that are evil and will bite her toes off. Scary.
So Mavis gets older and Dracula plans her 118th birthday party in a hotel built especially for monsters. Hotel Transylvania. Mavis wants to go see the outside world, Drac scares her back in. Then a human boy named Johnny wanders into the Hotel. Drac finds him and disguises him as a relative of Frankenstein. Johnny makes a scene and meets Mavis, where they lock eyes and "Zing."
Drac then attempts to hide Johnny from Mavis, which, of course, fails. Chef Quasimodo suspects he is a human and then kidnaps him to make a Human stew. Drac finds him and paralyzes him with his magic. At a dance Johnny throws for Mavis, She kisses him and Drac interrupts. Quasimodo returns and reveals that Johnny is a human. Johnny then says, to keep from destroying Drac's hard work of keeping everyone afraid of Humans, that he hates monsters and he then leaves. Mavis knows that Drac has lied and now Drac goes on a quest with the Wereweolf, the Mummy, Frankenstein, and the Invisible Man to retrieve Johnny from a flight.
They arrive at a Monster festival and the path is blocked by humans. To clear a path, Frankenstein tries to scare them, but finds the humans are cheerfully welcoming them instead and even provide a shaded route through the town for Dracula to proceed at maximum speed. Drac flies after the plane in broad daylight and uses his magic to use the Pilot to make an apology to Johnny over the intercom. Drac returns Johnny to Mavis and the kiss. Blah Blah Blah. Then Mavis and Johnny set off to explore the world together.
