Both have there pros and cons. I dislike mac because of the higher price and the un-upgarde-ability, as well as that they are not compatibe with many programs. I do like how they look, but that doesnt win me over. PCs are anoying because they are generaly less reliable (Error 5,4,3,2,1 - Crash!), but are easy to upgrade (the hardware) and i know them fairly well inside out. I am sad that linux wasnt mentioned at the start, and i dont have much experience with them either.

buy somthing worth a few hundred and pay for it all in very small change. count out the money really slowly and when you are almost done counting pretend to lose count and start again.
