Welp, my greatest fear is of nothing. Like, the idea of absolute nothingness terrifies me.

Yeah, it is, and there's no balance of anything there. I do like SB more than the chats that I've seen at really anyplace other than dsidie... But I really dont think I'm ever going to get unbanned.

Welp, guess that takes care of that...

So I was playing HeartGold today, and realized that I killed it the first time through using traded Pokemon to beat weaker trainers, so I bred a mudkip and began to go through the routes relatively unscathed.

Then I realized there were no trainers.

Thus depreciated, I kinda want to start a project to recreate all the trainer battles from Pokemon: HeartGold through WiFi and Wireless battles. Players would recreate Trainer's teams and name/mark/store them according to battle. All exp. earned in the battles would be added up and rare candies would substitute leveling up in-battle. While there are quite a few obstacles in this plan, I think it might work- all we would need are a TON of people and cartridges, a TON of time, and TWO tons of patience. Any thoughts?

No, I never said that I expected sites developed by high school kids (Yeah, chickenmatt5 is 15 or 16, can't remember at the moment) to last. To be honest, I kinda expected those sites to fail. Still, I feel like once your site has a certain amount of regular users, it should be your responsibility to take care of the site or at least keep the users informed of what's going on. One of the reasons that I haven't made a site (apart from the fact that I suck at web design) is that I have no way to be directly responsible for it.

Regardless of rhyme or reason, I am beginning to notice a trend in smaller online communities.

I love websites that only have a few people on them. I find that they're much more personal than larger websites. However, many of these websites are getting shut down for stupid stuff. A lot of the time, the issue is funding, but sometimes it's because people violate acceptable use policies or something simple like that. But no matter what the cause, most of the sites I normally get on are down, and I find myself stuck on unfamiliar websites, trying to meet complete and total strangers in packs of 3-10. It's really uncomfortable.

I just wish the sites I used were more stable. Why does that seem like so much to ask?

While I agree that it is really frikkin hard, at least Reach has 4-player co-op. Combat Evolved was WAY harder on legendary.

The first 4 Megaman games are tough! I still can't beat them! But I have to say, there are two games that make me angry:
-Castlevania: Circle of the Moon. This game has impossible enemies, and even worse hygiene. I feel dirty after playing it (hurts so good!).
- Jet Force Gemini. As fun as it is, it wasn't exactly easy when I was 10, and today it still holds a degree of challenge for me. Still, when you die, the game makes the most DEPRESSINGLY HOPLESS MUSIC KNOWN TO MAN! But it still has my favorite soundtrack ever.

I'm not entirely sure, but I would not expect it to be up anytime soon. I'm still gonna check from time to time.

No. No, DSiDie was actually a really nice site. Now look at DSiBook. When 'Die shut down, everyone ran to 'Book, and it has moved.

I have one thing to say.

The only thing that makes DSiCade a "bad" site is the lack of proper admining on the site. You guys say the games are crap, but they're similar quality to the games here(excluding hull lite and tmj). Honestly, I'm sick of a community of fearful idiots who want nothing but roleplays because the ONE admin on the site hasn't had a good reality check since he/she/it was 4. If that ALONE was fixed, the site's community would most likely improve, leading to more traffic, which could potentially make TWR take a closer look at the site.

Agreed. Seriously, all I want is the grey-background, boxy-looking HubHub that we had LAST time. But no, it has to be fancy, and now we may lose one of the best online communities that I have ever seen.

In other news of general BS, Kimi (or Nite, or Matt, or whatever you wanna call IT) banned me for saying that if someone didn't break any rules, they shouldn't get banned. So, after discussing it with some friends, I realized that the only REAL problem with DSiCade is that there is only one admin, and nobody checks that power. So when I got back, I made a joke about Nite being a pedobear, and got Perma'd. Because that's deserving of a ban.

I don't understand what happened, but Gold (and a few other admins) were deadmined, and now the only admin besides Kimi is Jason, who gets on once in a blue moon. Needless to say, I miss the old 'Cade. I miss it so much.
