Regardless of rhyme or reason, I am beginning to notice a trend in smaller online communities.
I love websites that only have a few people on them. I find that they're much more personal than larger websites. However, many of these websites are getting shut down for stupid stuff. A lot of the time, the issue is funding, but sometimes it's because people violate acceptable use policies or something simple like that. But no matter what the cause, most of the sites I normally get on are down, and I find myself stuck on unfamiliar websites, trying to meet complete and total strangers in packs of 3-10. It's really uncomfortable.
I just wish the sites I used were more stable. Why does that seem like so much to ask?
It's because of the fact the sites are being made from unprofesional teenagers/kids.
Do you really expect these sites that are made by people still in middle/high school to last?
I don't.
No, I never said that I expected sites developed by high school kids (Yeah, chickenmatt5 is 15 or 16, can't remember at the moment) to last. To be honest, I kinda expected those sites to fail. Still, I feel like once your site has a certain amount of regular users, it should be your responsibility to take care of the site or at least keep the users informed of what's going on. One of the reasons that I haven't made a site (apart from the fact that I suck at web design) is that I have no way to be directly responsible for it.
It is repeatedly being shut down by their server for being a chat site. I don't expect it to be coming back. Most of the members have moved to 3DSBubble. (Link previously posted and in Affliates.)
4/5 People suffer from diarrhea. Does that mean the other enjoys it?
