Hey guys, for those of you who know my deep nerdy pokemon side. You know I love competitive battling, right?
This is the official Rate-My-Team Thread.
Post the team you wish me to critique. Make sure you include the nature, Effort points, move set, and Item. This was purely for making your teams better. As a two time Pokemon VGC participant of the Masters Division, I hope you all can at least consider my opinion.
Thread will be re-stuck. There are no rules stating only a limited amount of sticky threads. This is also a VERY helpful topic that will remain actively monitored by me.
Good moves, the only thing I would suggest changing is Rock Slide on the Blaziken, and switching their items.
Here's why, Blaziken would be better off with the life orb because it is what's been referred to as a "Glass Cannon." It has good offense stats, but it doesn't have the bulk to stay in battle for a long period of time. So the shell bell is kinda useless since it doesn't usually take more than one hit to take one down. Life Orb is better suitable because it is an item that's meant for pokemon to hit hard and switch out. A better role to be played by Blaziken.
This will continue to be stuck until I get a comment from the idiot who keeps removing it without warning.
Cali, the EVs are good. I don't suggest changing anything as far as those. Swampert is a great bulky water type, it does well under rain. Being physical, Waterfall is the best water STAB move. Earthquake is a must. It has devistating power and gets a great STAB boost. That leaves 2 moves left. I'll do some researching, but, Swampert really needs some kind of move to counter pesky grass types that try and switch in.
For an item, I think the best choice is leftovers. Leftovers compliments Swamperts bulky HP and makes it even more annoying if your opponent can't counter it.
Well Kion, if I had to raise one with only those natures in mind. I would go with Espeon.
You could use Modest, or Hasty with it. It really just depends if you want a fast or powerful one. Modest for power, hasty for speed.
Here's the moveset I suggest.
Quick attack-lv22
Psychic-TM29
Shadow ball-TM30
Morning sun-lv71/Hidden power (Fight)-TM10
I suggest quick attack only because it's good for revenge killing and has speed priority. Don't use it for attacking unless the enemy has very low health.
Psychic is your best STAB attack and will do a lot of damage to anything that doesn't resist it.
Shadow ball is good for type coverage.
Morning sun is good for health recovery. The only problem is Espeon is not a very bulky pokemon anyway. If something hits it with normal attack power, it won't take it well.
Hidden Power (Fight) is a must. Espeon is great sweeper, but it is cursed with a terrible movepool. HP-Fight is important for those pesky dark types and steels who might switch in on you. Especially if you're using the hasty nature.
If you're playing in the 4th generation games, go to a move tutor and teach it Signal Beam. That move with help out against dark types.
