Various clans/guilds have been made far in advance of the game release so as to diminish scrambling for members and whatnot when the release happens.

Some parts like the storyline will probably be single player, while things like PVP combat in the Mt. Hildar coliseum will have to be multiplayer. Further along in its development, many more game aspects will be added/revealed, likely meaning some blending of the two gameplay types. Maybe there will be the option for small groups of players to go on storyline quests together.

An official in-game clan configuration seems unlikely. While the notion of clans is natural and even quite old, forming and maintaining one is doable enough through use of Groups. Realisically, the extent of clan activity will probably amount to clan meet-ups and PvP competitions, things that don't need to be bogged down by a game system. Said system is bound to be bare bones and simple. If visible affiliation is in demand, maybe chatroom display names could be implemented, through using prefixes/suffixes, e.g. "LimxzeroTP" or "TP_Limxzero".
