Chatroom Admin Colors

The chatrooms are specifically for a chatroom moderator, like blogs are for blog admins. So it is better to keep jusr chatmods at red, as it is our territory.

All the pretty colours were removed from chatrooms because 1) adminship largely became a race for promotions, and for 2) singularly distinguishing chatroom mods to prevent confusion in chatrooms. I personally miss the past stylised chromaticism of our chats, but the update was partially helpful; as for the admin fever among non-mods, there's nothing to deter that. Having colours back, in job-specific/multi-colour form or in any other form, would bring about the same ends as the previous colour system. As for the specific multi-colour idea: (besides the above) potentially confusing, difficult to implement, and it's obvious it would not turn out well for shorter names.

The idea that I had harbored for a while was that of having some mote of moderator distinction within each respective area of the website (as was mentioned), be it colouring, a symbol, etc. Especially useful for new users. However, the way most of the areas work right now, sections like Paint/Polls/Affiliates don't need any of that, so that's the reservation I have for this idea.

That said. I think in the long run--the less colours, the better. This competitiveness for admin jobs is such a website downfall and may well never end, but it can be lessened.

I don't think it is really nessersary that we have multiple colours one per each letter in a username nor the original colour system either.
Haveing maybe all the chatmins red and any other Mod. to have their username to be blue in result matching to re/blue flashing effect of a Overlords name would be what I'd suggest. Even if the chatmin however has other jobs, their name would still be red. So that users know who is a chatmin. This has been suggested by a good few bit of people other then me and I think it's a fair idea. Just not anything that is going to help solve or make anything benefit from it being in effect.

Anyway, there's a big problem with the idea of having specific colors for specific jobs: multiple jobs. Unless Hull has it so that an Admin's first job is kept track of, it wouldn't work. and if it does keep track of it, then you wouldn't know what other jobs they had without viewing their profiles. @_@ Hence, why I'm fine with just ChatMods having chromatic names.

It was more organized with the neon color admin names. "UR AN ADMNZ?"

I like the red. Notice, there has been less admin drama since we changed back to the 09 color system. I wouldn't mind if each month we changed colors or something, but I believe that only chat mods should have color, and everyone should have the same color.

Yeah, that would be great. It's just we need to wait for HullBreach to think about it. It's not easy adding new features to this site. Along with the admin color changer system.

Plus, we're gonna need lots of colors. We have over 10 admin jobs/think? Right in the moment, let's think of colors we need for each admin job we have accomplish so far.

Darn people, dem' colors aren't fruity enough for you? So what? I loved it back when it was only red, so it was clear that those people had the most important job. When the newer jobs came out, the colors were only but an addition. Later discovered that after all that unwanted drama, it's easier just to check the moderator's profile or to check the /adminlist (which surprisingly is still there!).

With all the new sections, you can't possibly make a color for every new authority you get for each of them. And that is the main point why it's back to 1-color only.

Wait, you so badly want to make another confusing of which moderator has what with a fancy color on your name? You know you can always edit the site elements on a computer, from there you can give your name any color you want. Others may not see it, but atleast your weird fetish for colors is satisfied, right?
