Sci. Teacher fired for religion

I'm just laughing at the irony of a science teacher preaching religion. XD

Are pools of blood forming in your hands whenever you cup them, only to coagulate into the form of a tiny baby with three heads?

You go to a public school? If you do, than your teacher should know it's against the rules to speak in a religious matter. He/She is a moron for getting themselves fired.

Never take life seriously. Nobody gets out alive anyway.

He did step over the bounds. Yet, with the teachers who bash religion in class, the get a pass. There was recently a story in the news that told of a California teacher who knocks 25 points of a student's next test for saying "Bless you" in class when someone sneezes. He should be fired, as well.

^Same. And it's against the rules to preach religion in a public school, so, he deserved it. He should have stuck to the curriculum, the students are there to learn science and get an education, they don't deserve to have their learning time wasted.

You mean that's why their parents have them there. :P

School and religion are an odd couple. Many are under the assumption that it's a "God-free zone", though the Supreme Court has come to the conclusion that it isn't. Honestly, any teacher who can't leave out any overt bias towards religion in school should probably be fired.

It's my job to help the next generation, and set a good example for them. And for that I'll gladly lay down my life.

Hmm.. well I just can`t agree on either sides because really, I could care less. But a science teacher..? Really.. I mean if he/she wanted to do that couldn`t they just do it off hours. But I see an issue, with so many religions/cultures out there in public/private schools I could see some major problems in that.

He gets paid for teaching science not for preaching religion. I think he doesn't have a case here. R.E. is where you learn about God not in science.

The term 'separation of church and state' never actually appears in any Constitutional document or law. The closest thing to that is that Congress cannot establish a law concerning the establishment of religion or the practicing of one. :P I love pointing out common things people believe that aren't true. :D That phrase comes from a letter that Thomas Jefferson wrote to some dude.
