CALLING ALL METROID FANS! I have an important question!

Hey! So I was going to write a blog story about Samus after the last game. According to the Metroid Series Wikipedia, Metroid Fusion is the latest in the storyline. It has a chronology box that says Fusion is last. Is this true? I've only ever played Fusion, Metroid, and Prime Hunters. I thought Other M was last! HELP! Thanks c:

In Metroid other m, I believe it happends before the other events in the other Metroid titles. (Correct me if Im wrong) Some notible things was Ridley is born in Metroid other m and resurrected by X-parasites in Metroid fusion, the Bio-weapon Nightmare was also seen in Metroid other m when he was being tested but when it broke free, was nearly killed by Samus. Nightmare, later in the series, was secretly revived by the scientist but was infected by the X-parasite and was attempting to destroy the whole station in Metroid fusion. This time, Samus had no choice but to terminate it once and for all. And on the other note, I think other m takes place in the same space station as fusion when it wasn't over-run by X.

It has been confirmed by both nintendo and the game that Other M takes place after the events of Super Metroid which takes place after the original Metroid. But I am sure that all other information is correct... Except for the fact that ridley wasn't born in Other M, Samus says that she has been haunted by Ridley before. Which is why when Ridley attacks the first time during Other M she is scared stiff.

Oh yeah. Sorry, I forgot. Then what was that ferbie looking thing in other m anyway? It mutated into something if I recall. I haven't played other m much but Im sure that little ferbie looking thing mutated into ridley or just something similar.

Yes. But if your still not sure, compare events that happend in some of the titles. I know ridley, after his first defeat, was reborn with a robotic appearance in Metroid prime. When defeated again, he was in the process of being reborn again in Metroid zero mission but was defeated before he was completely finish. It only some titles in metroid that I find hard to place together like metroid hunters. Most of the metroid series was started because of the X-parasite. I heard so in a lore on youtube. The chozo knew what patiental the X has and creating another parasite known as metroid to defeat them. Metroid's were their only hope of riding of x but was captured by ridley's forces and was spreaded among most of the galaxy. Some metroid games didn't focus on how their plan to make a parasite and control its growth at a safe rate backfired on them. I guess Samus must have been searching and destroyinh all forms of metroid just got old and they piece together more to the story.

Ok, I know its confusing but due to the lack of games I've played. I think a good full METROID movie would do good. There was one in production but went into Limbo!

A movie would be good but I dont know where they would start in order to make it interesting to those who haven't heard of metroid. They could probably start it from some of her earier days when she was accepted by the chozo or when the metroids begin to spread and reproduce rapidly. They should take their time with the story and see if people like it enough for them to make a sequel instead of trying to rush details the story. Example, "The Last Airbender" rushed the story, making hard to keep up with the story plot.

Right, but most movies based-off a video game succeed. I haven't seen any lately, but there is going to be a HALO and Assassin's Creed movie! Besides, if the movie is great or not, people would pay $ to watch it first. Thus making alot of opening weekend money. Idk, maybe one day when I make it into the movie business, I'll do Metroid!

Well, you got a point. It wont cause no harm. If it becomes a big hit, they should make a sequel. I woyld like to see the people who did the special fx for "Avatar" do the scenary. Watching in IMAX 3D was incedible. I know they would do a great job making the scenary look alive in Metroid.

It is. Metroid is one of those first/third person shooters that will constantly put you in different situations. Wether it be kill any hostile activity while being locked in a single area, solving puzzles in order to move on, visiting old locations to do something you couldn't do before, getting out a specific area before it self destructs, and more. Plus, the numerous amount of upgrades you can obtain by finding them or killing enhanced creatures. Metroid is a game where you cant just rushed through the game. You may need to learn more about the area around you to unravel its secrets or to move on. For some, completing this game can take a good 3 weeks without help. But if your more experinced, it may take a shorter time. But to fully beat it 100% will take at least a month. If you plan on getting one of the many metroid games out, I suggest you get either the Metroid prime series or gameboy/ds series first before playing other m. Other m is good but not like the other metroid games.

Well Ive only played Metroid and M Fusion on 3DS and i LOVE IT! Its so complex, with a great story!

I only played metroid prime, metroid prime 2 :echoes, M fusion, M huunters, and M: zero mission. I only know a little about Other m because a friend told me about it. The older metroids and Corruption I've never played and do not know the story in some of them.

Me! I'm stuck on Metroid Fusion!

I haven't played any metroid title for at least a year. I played a little bit of other m but that was around maybe 2 months after the time the game was released. So just more than about six months or so. The prime series was most dominant. I still got Metroid prime 2: echoes somewhere in my room. Im not sure what happend to the other metroid games I had. I've never had corruption and some of the older titles. A friend of mined showed me Other M.

I still have Metroid prime 2: echoes. My metroid fusion isn't working anymore (Well, at least not on my old ds). I lost metroid hunters along with mario kart when me and my family moved. Metroid prime (#1) stopped workng also. The rest, execpt corruption, I played and beat, nearly beat, or don't play it anymore. Chosen, you said your stuck on fusion. Do you need help on the game or just need info cause Ill try and see if I can get fusion working. I think I got 100% on that game. If not, than more than 90%. Its been a long time since I played it.
