Groups started out as a way for a selected group of people to share information. Within a few years' time came the realisation of groups' potential, which led to extending the shout capacity and adding the shoutbox refresh button. The latter especially spiked group activity, and now they are pretty much "guilt-free" chat areas. While it drew crowds away from the real chatrooms, in theory it makes the presence of group admins important and in a way spoils the meaningfulness of a chat mod. There is no way chatrooms regain their former popularity without some huge overhaul (unthinkable!).

Either :l Everyone talks about nothing interesting. They always talk about crazy random things XDtrue! :-)
sometimes i like chatrooms so i dont just talk to people in the group because sometimes i want to talk to random people.
Groups need to have a list of every single group, not just the top 20. Could get people to want to join a group they didn't know about and to stop rule breaking.

They could just be divided by pages, like for example page one shows 5 or 10 groups, page two has 5 and so on :v
It could be some kind of special page where you could see all the groups and stuff.
