The thing I find most disturbing is the fact that they make their kids go out and stand in the sun, preaching hate. I haven't read my whole psychology book yet, but I know that that cannot be good for a developing mind. Those kids, if they ever leave that town, or that area, and travel to a big city, will be ostracized for their lack of acceptance and their stubbornness.

It also irks me that these people can get away with this crap because of the first amendment. The law says they can express their opinions publicly in print, voice, and any other means. Yet when they nearly riot outside a fallen soldier's funeral, nothing can be done, or next to nothing.

The followers of this "faith" have some disorder. Nobody in their right minds, or their left for that matter, can hate so many different groups so vehemently and not have something wrong with them.

They say they practice God's will, yet isn't God omnibenevolent, all loving, omniscient, all knowing, and some other omni thing that means he's perfect or whatever. These people are none of those things. None. They call themselves Babtist, yet they are some horrid offshoot that believes that God hates everyone but them.

They need to wise up and get it in their heads that no matter what they say, nothing will ever go their way for them. The world doesnt really care what one little church says. I say we ignore them, that way they don't get the attention it is almost obvious they want. And the fact that they've been around for 57 years amazes me. The livid little hating bastards.

This really wasn't meant to be a rant or anything, just expressing my opinion.

While it's true that holding such events in private property would fix it somewhat, I'd be reluctant to do so if I were in their shoes, simply because I've just as much right to be doing it in public as the cult has. Probably moreso, in most people's eyes.

If I'm holding some kind of ceremony in public, surely there's some kind of law against being disrupted and harrassed by anyone, regardless of their beliefs.

Free speech is a double edged sword. You're as free to say objectionable things as everyone else is and nobody has the right to silence that. If they were a bunch of ignorant schmoes who rallied against a soldier's funeral, then they'd most likely be detained for some type of misdemeanor charge. Due to the wbc being backed by lawyers, they most likely eploited a loophole which allows them to carry on. It's cruel irony that the soldier died to protect the rights that these people are abusing.
I believe the best course of action would be for any entity to host events in private property. If they know better, and I'm sure they do, the wouldn't tread unless they fancy a lead shower in the name of defense.

True. They actually had make make it illegal to protest at funerals in Kansas. There is no loophole. Ironic indeed. You can't shoot someone for trespassing though. We should just pretend they don't exist. I mean, we already know that they're not in their right minds to do this, why give the satisfaction of us hating them. It just seems pointless to fight this when no matter how much we fight, it just makes them stronger.

Nothing but a bunch of immoral rabble-rousers parroting and inanely proclaiming their bigotry and hatred to the world for attention, from a book that does the same.

It's my job to help the next generation, and set a good example for them. And for that I'll gladly lay down my life.
