Pokemon Fanime

Fanime = Fan anime

On another thread I kinda decided that it'd be easier to make a fan Pokemon anime rather than getting the writers of the show to do a better job. So instead of cluttering up that thread with ideas for a fan anime, I created this thread. Would it be legal? Or would we get into trouble? Should it be in a new region that we create, or a current one?

This thread is kul here, because it is pokemon. /Somebody/ just had to get them all into seperated sections. But it still fits.


Regions.

It could be an unspecified region. As in, it's never said or talked about. That way we wouldn't have to worry about getting all of the details of each town perfect. You know fans. They go crazy if there's even one tiny thing not quite right. Though, it would be fun to try to do everything so exact and perfect.

In that case, it would be best if the region is one that we create. That way, we can also have the Pokemon we want and we can even create our own legendaries.

As far as I can tell, we're both just kids. We don't know anybody who could do anything with them. Well, probably don't. Even if we did, it would be kind of sad to have the ideas grow out of our control. Even if they are just fairly new ones and they haven't really had time to grow on us.

I've seen your facebook. All the drawings and stuff. That doesn't really tell me much, though. Hmm... So what would we have to know to be able to do this thing, if even only half assed?

Some of the things we'd need are:
a. A good computer.
b. Computer Graphics skills. (I do have some from the class I took last year, I suck though.)
c. Animation skills
d. Voice Acting
e. A story line.

I could go on, but I don't feel like it. I do have some ideas for a story-line, but I don't know if it would be a good story simply because its supposed to be Pokemon. It derived from me thinking of a more threatening evil organization. I don't think the main characters should cautch a legendary, simply because of their size.

It would be mean for the character to keep him in the pc, it would make winning trainer battles too much of a breeze, ... o-o It would destroy everything in its' path if it were huge, like dialga/kyogre/reshiram/etc were. A god like pokemon shouldn't be captured. It doesn't make sense, story-wise.


We'd have to have money, too, I think. A budget. Which I'm positive we don't have. Unless we could find that stuff for free. Hrm. I could be good with writing. I think, I haven't actually written anything in a LONG whie, but it's probably possible. I could make characters and their designs, but they'd probably be really weird. All I've got.

Besides a good computer I'm sure we can find the rest of the stuff for free. I could help with the story, I do write things (look at my blogs) and I do have some what of a villain. Say, is an organization that does experiments on human and pokemon dna a good evil organization? I mean, Team Galactic wants to destroy the universe and then recreate it.

The evil org. could do ridiculously crazy things. Like... Try to cross-breed humans and pokemon? So they end up creating a bunch of lovely little abominations or something. Like a ditto with a human, to create a human looking thing that thinks and acts like a pokemon.

What age would this be aimed at? I assume older kids, but not necessarily being too inappropriate in one way or another.

I think the person that follows the main guy around should be their first experiment secretly. She'd wear a hat and have Pikachu ears and she'd have a Pikachu tail hidden under her clothes, and say "-pika! <3" whenever she finishes talking.

I think the region should have Pokemon that would normally fossilized running around. Similar to Dinotopia, but they can't talk and aren't civilized (That we know of, possible plot point?) The main character would wash up on to the shore.

The main character gets washed up to a shore in the dungeon games, or at least the ones I played.
I was thinking they could be a normal person. The first few episodes, or whatever, could be normal, too. Or maybe just the first. And the Team _X_ just have finally started to get past the few mistakes, the Pokehumon in the beginning were only tests, and they had mistakes/bugs/glitches. Whatever you would call them for a living thing? Flaws.
They are only just starting to make a better version of the things, so there aren't many running around. They would use the most basic of pokemon for their first creations. So, rattata, raticate, buneary, aipom. I think those are all normal types. Plus, scienists IRL use those animals for test subjects, right? Rats, muce, bunnies, dogs, cats.

Pokemon that are normally fossils in the games and things would be walking around in this region instead of being fossils. You can catch the pokemon instead of finding a fossil and turning it into a pokemon.

I was aluding to the Mystery Dungeon series, but it would be normal. However, later on the main characters would find cities of pokemon made through evolution and the bad guys would try to use them as experiments. I was thinking that there would be only one or two of these cities, and all other pokemon are normal.

Well, you need a good animation program. As simple as it sounds, you could use Adobe Flash. Make sure to write your ideas down for future reference. They do come in handy. Now, most shows like pkmn are written up in storyline beforehand. Get some practice w/ writing.

In b/w2's poke theaters, there's a time traveling movie you get to make early on where the scientist goes to the future and battles a ledia. In it, bug type pokemon have gotten really smart and have taken control of humans to the point that humans get degraded and stop learning to the point that they talk like cavemen. The bugs had a town and were civilized.
This came to mind when you said that, so.

We could also have them use newer technology and stuff. The movie bit in bw2 made me want to explore this, but I didn't do anything with that idea when I was thinking about it a few days ago.
