not likely but possible. ne1 who says it wont happen or it will is wrong. it can happen, from a solar maximum occuring on the sun, if we get hit by the perfect solar flare then yes it will happen but the odds of that are mighty rare.

The reason to why someone thought of doing this movie is becous they know it may happen. But the year 2012 isn't needed to be right. Now their making a 1000 year projekt to move to mars. And they think they will have the planet working in a 1000 years. Everyone knows the earth is going to go under sooner or later. My guess is. NOT IN A 1000 YEARS! But natural dissasters may become a bigger problem now.
