There are plenty of blogs about this. Go to the Main Page and click "Blogs." Scroll down and you'll find a search feature. Just enter something like "new user" or "help," and I'm sure you'll find some useful bits of advice.

Go to the chat and get to know a few people. Add some people that seem to enjoy you and keep in touch. Make blogs to get yourself known. Become a regular BB poster. That's the basics. Oh and be kind to the admins( They have the colored names above the chat).
