I've been having issues with my paintings lately. A few days ago, I found that a few of my paintings were gone. I didn't mind much then. Later, I found some of my better paintings gone and some of my crappy paintings restored. The next day, the missing ones were restored, but, again, others were missing. Finally, today, I found the majority of all the missing paintings back, but minus my favorite painting! Needless to say, I was and am rather annoyed. I did save a preliminary version of that painting, so I could understand why it may have been deleted. But the final version was deleted--as opposed to the primitive version. Now I know that the duties of a paint mod include deleting inappropriate pictures as well as very similar or simple paintings which qualify as spam. However, my painting was neither inappropriate nor highly similar to another painting, and I had spent a good deal of time creating it. So I don't understand why there has been such activity pertaining to my paintings.
I'm not expecting any action to result from this post. I'm just making public my dissatisfaction with the judgment of particular paintmin(s), and hoping that such abrasive and careless activity does not occur in the future. (Actually, I'd be relieved if this is just a website error that can be fixed.)
I have no particular Admin I'm speaking of, but I'd like to see Admins held to a higher standard than regular users. They're to be the ones who set the example for the rest of us, and should not be above the rules they are supposed to uphold. If they can't at least do that, then why are they an Admin? Again, this is not aimed at anyone in particular.
It's my job to help the next generation, and set a good example for them. And for that I'll gladly lay down my life.
At the time that I posted above, I had an inkling that issues could be answered, compromised, even solved. At this point, I realize there is no sense in complaining. Admins will be do as they do. No matter how imperfect they seem, they should still be respected. And if they are not fit to be admins, then they will be dealt with by our overlords. End of story.
@craig You know, not every Admin deteriorates into a rule breaking enemy making user.
Yesterday, all of my dozen or so paintings randomly disappeared. Then, I randomly re-earned every badge I'd already had, except for my Paint badge. I've no idea if that is the result of actions of some admin(s) or just a glitch on the site (probably the latter.)
