I don't think it should be called news-just featured blogs..if it's only news, that wouldn't include most blogs..
i also believe that if a blog is featured, it should be well-written..not words like dat and dis..it doesn't make sense..you could just type out the word..it actually makes the blog sound unintelligent and less readable/enjoyable..
they should maybe even devote featured sections to news, creative, and other..just an idea..
True. Verywell said Billdoh. I agree with pretty much everyone who has posted above. And DC, you said "like when i look LAT a story.I'm pretty sure you meant at?
I don't look at featured blogs often, but I've read a few and noticed that they almost all have great grammar, and I'm not going to fault people for their spelling, to a point (some words you should know by now!lol) but for the most part, they are well put together..
Well, then I can proudly proclaim that I have written three of the best!lol
But I do believe that we should divide the featured section into sub-sections like news, creative, educational, and other..
Perhaps also, the blogmins should share their duties a little better. Some variation. We don't want 20 blogs accepted/denied by a single admin in a single day.
I had one blogmin deny 2 of my blogs in the same day, only because they didn't agree..I believe blogmins should judge by the content of the blog, not by whether or not you agree..and I also like the idea of more variation, to prevent these types of things..
@Divine-I really don't understand what you just said↑
My question is, out of all of the blogmins on this web site, why are there so few actually working on blogs? We should have a variety of blogmins working, in order to ensure a fairness for everyone who writes a blog..
I just think that blogs should be judged by quality, not personal beliefs, and if one blogmin isn't particularly interested by the topic or blog type, and are therefore biased or in some other way ill-equipped to judge the blog fairly, then they should not decide whether or not to feature the blog..
Well, I'm not going to go straight to the attack and say that they aren't doing their work properly..I mean, everyone is, in some way, biased, everyone has an opinion-it's only human..But people must remember not to act upon that bias..If they have to, just skip that one blog that you may disagree with, and even state your opinion, but don't deny it..Let someone who isn't particularly biased on that subject judge whether or not it is written well enough to be featured..
I don't think age should matter, as long as it's a relevant topic that people can talk about..
And Subtle- we're talking about blogmins' judgement of different blogs being biased, not the blogs themselves..
