@burnpices That's Pokérus, a virus that Pokémon can catch randomly. It increases XP earned and doubles EVs gained.

@burnpices That indicates that the virus has been healed. The Pokémon keeps the effects of the virus, but can no longer spread it.

In Black and White, EXP is now also determined by Level-to-Level ratio. A Lv. 10 Makuhita facing a Lv. 15 Mawile is going to recieve more EXP, while a Lv. 20 Makuhita is gong to recieve substantially less. This makes it much easier to grind[Power-Levelng, etc,] lower-leveled Pokémon, while consequentally making it harder to grind higher-leveled ones.

The items start decent at low levels, and get really good at high levels (including TMs, Max Revives, etc.) However, most of them lose the ability after evolution and they can't Pickup an item if they are holding one. In Ruby/Sapphire, you will always get good items no matter the level.

So, find and carry a Pickup 'mon next time you go train. You will thank me.

It should be noted that Pick Up's item list has been changed almost, if not every set of games since it's introduction in R/S. The largest changes were in Emerald, when levels became a factor, and in Black/White, where the TMs[which ae no longer Single-Use nor Holdable] are replaced with more Evolution Stones, and other items...

In Black and White, if you have a Pokemon-GL account, you can customize your C-Gear, Pokedex, and even get new Musicals. You can go to "Customize/Settings". Some (Well, most) C-Gear backgrounds require passwords, so go to "Promotions" from the main website and put passwords in. Bulbapedia and Serebii both have them, and Googling works too.

Should I really tell you a secret in FireRed/LeafGreen that I've rarely shared?

Get 2 GBAs with a wireless adapter or whatever. Then, on both systems get FireRed/LeafGreen up to where they are both getting ready to heal their pokemon. Talk to nurse Joy at the same time on both GBAs. Go through the whole process.

If you get lucky, on both sytems Joy will say "It appears as if ____ is also playing!" or something like that. Where ____= the opposite trainer's name.

When I discovered this with my friend, I was scared out of my wits by the nurse. I was all "OMG stalker" :P

---RANDOM TIPS---
1. Never actually attempt to catch high-level Pokemon. If you do, make sure it's female and breed it with another compatible Pokemon. This is recommended for two reasons. One, Effort Value (EV's), and two, egg moves.
2. When taking on Girantina, NEVER USE TIMER BALLS! Use Dusk Balls. The amount of time it would take a Timer Ball to be as effective as a Dusk Ball is fourty turns. By then Giratina will use struggle, making anything you try pointless.
3. Shiny Pokemon, despite being rarer, are no statistically better than your typical Pokemon of the same variety.

catching Terrakion was quite easy for me i used LV.50 Zapdos against Terrakion then he used helping hand I threw a Heal ball and caught him

Why dont you try it DONT HAVE A LV.50 Zapdos train up Zebstrika or Blitzle to LV.50 keeping discharge and throw a heal ball

(NOTE: you can buy loads of diffrent balls at pokemon league)
