NO.

When teaching Pokemon moves, make sure to check their stats.
This is wonderful with certain pokemon, if their stats focus on Attack, and if they are a Fighting type, this could easily be used with most Fighting type moves.

NEVER teach Gyarados any water moves other then Aqua Tail. It NEVER works out, since Gyarados is a Physical attacker.

An easy place to train for Attack EVs is Route 1, as both Patrat & Lillipup give +1 Attack Effort Values. With a Macho Brace, +2. Macho Brace+PokeRus, +4. So quick. ;D

Also, Shiny Pokemon are no longer statistically superior, only in Gen II, as that was what determined a Shiny, it's IVs.

Don't listen to others saying "gt ths pkmn, its da bestt". Train your own Pokemon idividually, using tactical advantages, and avoid relying on Legendaries. They are actually weak considering the level caught for most of them.

All Fire type starters except Charizard and Typhlosion are part Fighting. Therefore, any Grass type starter has to be accompanied by a similar level Flying type for rival battles. (In this case, a Water and Flying type is the best option)

Why dont you try it DONT HAVE A LV.50 Zapdos train up Zebstrika or Blitzle to LV.50 keeping discharge and throw a heal ball

But! This worked in your own experience, it doesn't mean it will work. It was a random fluke, as the parameters for Legendary captures has a high escape rate with a low escape rate for 1 turn at least 3 times in 40-50 turns.

When fighting difficult Trainers such as rivals, Gym Leaders and Elite Four, remember that they will ALWAYS have at least one Pokeon with one move that will be strong against their weakness. Type advantages don't mean you've won, you also need to consider defense and speed of the enemy Pokemon, plus have a back-up form of contingency for any suprise moves that go against expectations.

Try to think what stat the pokemon in question favors.

EX.
psychic types like gothitelle should have a good nature fer raising it's SP.attack.

electric types should have a nice speed but should also be raised with good defense stats. this holds true to alot of them.


another tip is to note that dream world pokemon normally have a nature and stats that's fine tuned to their, ability/attacks, making training that much easier.


my last tip is that if you really need to level up that one pokemon that at a low level, give it a lucky egg, put it first, then walk into a high level battle. withdraw the pokemon and throw out one your higher level pokemon. this helps raise the level of the lucky egg holder without risking it fainting.
