Gamefreak's pokemon releases are getting rather uninventive. I'm hoping they try and deviate from their current pokémon-universe games and make more original content.
The only game outside of said pokéverse I have played is Drill Dozer. Mind-numbing music, awesome controls and platforming action.

@zdonick I too would like some more original content from Game Freak. However, I still find the Pokémon games good. I do dislike the fact that the same complaints of Pokémon being unoriginal (which I do not deny) don't seem to exist with each new shooter (namely, every CoD game after Modern Warfare), with each installment adding essentially nothing but a couple of online ptions and new story.

I think they're doing just fine.

I do think that Vanillit and its evolutions are rather... stupid-looking, but it's an interesting concept.

Now that you mention it, it would be nice if the company hosted a contest in which fans could submit Pokemon designs, and one would be chosen and used in a game.

That would be a cool idea. Capcom did the same thing with the upcoming (unclear if it will actually be released) Mega Man Legends 3 for the 3DS.

I know that they are not running out of ideas. The new gen. of Pokemon ACTUALLY feel like Pokemon! Unlike the others... they seem un-intresting to catch. If you know what I mean. ONCE again KEEP UP THE WORK GameFreak.

they should make a pokemon game that doesnt have the same old story line. beat all gyms collect badges beat pokemon league and catch em all. games like pokemon mystery dungeon and pokemon gale of darjness were nice twists and a fun and new experience. playing the same basic conceptof the pokemon series get.. rather old. a good idea would ha e something lie where you could decde to be a good trainer or a bad one. like you could join team rocket or something or try to stop them. who knows. just new pokemon isnt enough, new gameplay and storyline would be nice too

I don't think they are running out of ideas. They are running out of "spur of the moment" ideas though. Think about it. Everyone was wanting a new pokemon game, so they gave what the people wanted. They didn't have a lot of time to think of these new pokemon. If they had maybe another year or so to make pokemon, I'm sure they would turn out great!
