I think Water's the best strength wise & Fire look the best.The best starter has to be Squirtle ;D And the best Starter region is either Hoenn or Sinnoh ;D

I have always chosen fire, until BW Where the pig was unappealing, so I went with Snivy.

Solar Power Charizard covered by Drought Ninetales, With life orb doesn't live long, But can OHKO any starter in existence, and a large number of other pokemon.

Squirtle
Totidile
Mudkip
Piplup
Oshawatt
Yes you may point out that grass will wreck these but they all learn moves good against grass and sceptile is the only grass starter faster than them. however i may be mistaken so please correct me if their is a faster grass starter, i think snivy might be faster too but im not sure.
