Annoying as hell. Final Fantasy XIII superboss, took ages and dies so many times. Have to say Skyrims final boss is a rat compared to this...

Meh not really, even in liner RPGs there are always different paths to take. FFXIII-2 is open world in a way FFXIII was linear to begin with then once you got to gran pulse it was more free roam.
Xenoblade(BEST JRPG ON WII) is massively open ended. I would place a wager that it's maps are so much bigger than Skyrims. Last Remnant was free roam too.

To me Japanese RPG's are the best because without them there wouldn't be such a thing called RPG.
They have some of the best titles:
Final Fantasy
Last Reminant
Xenoblade
Loads loads more.

Eastern RPGS don't appeal to me because of repetition, quests can sometimes be the same and repetitive. Literally they are too easy too. I beat final boss on skyrim with hardest difficulty way too easy. On Final Fantasy or xenoblade it takes forever to defeat a boss because it just gets too tough. Xenoblades last boss was so hard I had to be level 99 because I just couldn't defeat it at all.
When it comes to RPG's the Japanese ones are the best. Some "open world do whatever you want" is not going to change that.

Me? I love this game so much to do and explore. Going to take forever it has gotten back to its original roots somehow. Also there will be DLC for extra episodes with more cast members, :P.

Apparently with the new Xbox you won't be able to play pre owned games on it. So you'll have to buy new games all the time because gaming companies are loosing out on money.
