Well, Jolly is fine. If not Jolly, at least Adamant. Adamant will make your Blaziken very Offensive as far as physical Attack. Adamant will also work with move-pool I suggested.
Yeah, Milotic is actually considered Over used. It was used a lot in the 4th generation VGC. It's bulky, has great HP. And thanks to Marvel Scale its ability, it can abuse Flame Orb (Hold item) and increase its defense, while keeping the opponents from inflicting it with a status problem.
I've used a Milotic before. I've never been able to raise a good one but I've seen them used like sweepers. It also can abuse Rain dance or Drizzle. It can be a deadly sweeper in the rain. (Rain gives all water type moves a 1.5/1.3 boost in power)
Can't remember if it's a 1.3 or 1.5 boost...
Best part about Milotic is it its amazingly wide move-pool. It has the ability to learn Thunderbolt which most water types cannot learn. If the HP and defenses are EV trained evenly it can be a very useful pokemon in or out of Rain teams.
I'm making these three to compliment each other:
Raichu: Thunderbolt, Focus Blast, Nasty Plot, Thunder
EV's: 252 SpAttk, 252 Speed, 4 HP
Item: Life Orb(?)
Ludicolo: Rain Dance, Leech Seed, Substitute, Giga Drain
EV's: 252 Def, 252 SpDef, 4 HP
Item: Leftovers or Big Root(or whatever it's called)
Umbreon needs Leftovers. And Umbreon really doesn't need Substitute. Protect would work better. Toxic is ok, if you intend to stall them out with Toxic. Is this for doubles or what?
Raichu works with Life orb. Personally, I don't like Raichu very much. It's speed is too low for me. You could try a Jolteon if Raichu doesn't work for you.
Ludicolo would work pretty well with Big Root. Especially if you intend to stall out with Leech seeds.
--------------B/W------------
You could give your Ludicolo another attack to replace Rain dance if you are able to get a Dream World Politoad.
I'm back. I have a Kricketot, it's Level 3[GTS Trade], and with a Naughty Nature.[+Atk, -Sp. Def] I was wondering what you would suggest for it? I know it doesn't compare to Durant, which I currently use, but I figure I could use it still.
Whoa bro, better slow down bro, don't wanna be a bro, bro.
Kricketot and it's higher form is a joke. They are horrible. I wouldn't even raise one if I were you. You will be disappointed. I would stick with Durant if I were you...
Drapion (Assuming that is what you will have) is decent. It falls under the Rarely-Used tier. I've never seen one be very effective because they don't have the bulk or offense you would like in a sweeper. With adamant nature.. Its speed is good enough to outrun some OU pokemon. I think it would be more effective with Jolly nature and a choice band, though.
Drapion is no trophy pokemon... I think it looks awesome, but it just has horrible stats... Which really sucks considering its wide move-pool.
If you are using a 4th generation one, make sure to get Aqua tail. This will help to counter ground and rock types that might want to switch in and Earthquake you.
If it's 5th generation, you are at a disadvantage. It loses Aqua Tail.
Here is the 5th gen Move set I suggest for an adamant one.
-Ice Fang/(4th Gen Aqua tail)
-Fire fang (Type coverage, bad for steels that might want to switch into Cross Poison)
-Cross Poison (Good STAB)
-Crunch (Good STAB)
That's about it. For EVs..
Att-252
Speed-252
HP-6
That's about all you can do. I would use that EV spread in any type of set for this pokemon. It doesn't have the bulk for anything else and it barely works as a sweeper.
Like I said before, I would run a Jolly Choice Banded Drapion over this. What you have will work, but it will not work very well due to its rather bad speed..
Alright, I figured as much for Kricketot, just wanted to get a reaction for that one.
As for Skorupi, thanks. I still have the parent of the one I migrated on Platinum, would you happen to know what I can breed with Skorupi to get Aqua Tail? And I'l try for a Jolly Nature, thanks.
I just need something to use instead of Weezing on occasion. Weezing's still superior though, imo. Thanks again.
Whoa bro, better slow down bro, don't wanna be a bro, bro.
It is not actually a breed-able attack. It is a move which can only be learned via Move Tutor. If it was breed-able I wouldn't have said it was a 4th generation only. xD
To better clarify the natures thing. I DO recommend Jolly, but only if you intend it to be a sweeper.
You could try Adamant, but you will be at a huge disadvantage due to its poor speed. Because of this here is what I suggest for a Adamant natured one. Keep in mind, 252 Speed and 252 Attack only if you still want to have some sort of average speed.
Adamant - Somewhat Bulky Sweeper
252 - Att
252 - Def
6 - Speed
-Agility (Egg move, breed with Scyther)
-Night Slash (Egg move, Breed with Scyther)
-Fire Fang/Swords dance(TM)
-Earthquake
This set will might work as a sweeper.. The only problem is the fact that this will require a turn or two to set up. As will setting up on every set, you must consider getting hit by something hard before you are able to begin sweeping. There's also Drapion's poor attack stat. Even with Adamant nature, it still only reaches to a max of 306.. Which is not stellar.. This is why I've included Swords Dance as a move instead of Fire Fang.
The idea for using it in battle is to Agility first turn. (Hopefully surviving the hit) Then sweeping with the help of 200% increase in speed.) After that, it's up to you whether you think you can take another hit. If you can I suggest Swords dance. If you don't think you'll be in that kind of situation. Don't worry about Swords dance and just keep Fire fang.
Anything you can't get 2x damage on, try and hit with Earthquake. Being the strongest Physical attack in game, it will help out.
Makuhita! I love this pokemon, I used its last form in the 2010 VGC! It is incredible for support in Doubles, triples, works great in singles too.
I suggest...
Guts - Flame Orb
Adamant
252 - HP
252 - Attack
6 - HP
Low Kick
Rock Slide
Fake Out
Earthquake
Best moveset avalible, priority attacks are cool, but they don't work very well with this pokemon.
This works surprisingly well. Just fake out first turn, let Flame orb activate Guts for 1.5% boost in Attack power, then sweep. Low kick does a lot of damage to heavy pokes and is the best move for a STAB boost. (I think anyway) Rock Slide is just annoying and Earthquake is there for Poison types and massive damage over-all.
I'm sleepy, ignore spelling and grammar errors please.
Furthemore, any adjustments I should make for a Rotation Team? None of my Pokémon abuse weather, I just like wide type-coverage. It'll most likely be flanked by Weezing, Staraptor and Durant/Gastrodon.
Whoa bro, better slow down bro, don't wanna be a bro, bro.
