After rereading the beginning, I realize I was mistaken in believing this was an isolated incident. I approve of this bill. They have every right to turn people away because of this, because there is a scriptural basis to turn them away. State and Church should be kept seperate. By the way, which organization is this?
I... I'm not deep, or funny, or anything. I'm not even a good gamer. I HAVE NEVER PLAYED A LOZ GAME. I'm pretty plain.
@Tora: 1-1/2: I know, because if I were to take a knife and poke myself in, say, the elbow. What would I find? "Oh your god, I'm composed of miracles!" No. I'd see red blood cells coagulating, and my skin and muscle tissue would be in a bit of pain.
1-2/2: I'm puttinng "know" in quotes, as in, for all we know, this could all be fake. My theories, your theories... Because we live, in the Matrix. oFTo[I needed some comic relief]
2: I've heard that, and, in a few instances, I could see why.
So, if I were to somehow develop and trigger a giant nuke in Europe, and it was leveled completeyly. Is that a miracle? That I destroyed countless lives is a miracle?
3: Technically, it is the physically the secretary's, by possession...
Oh? And just because of a "scriptual base", you're willing to totally screw up a child's life? What if Atheists wanted to adopt it? You'd beagainst it, but, you'd have no way of knowing, thus, the child could come. So I see more idiotic bigotry in the Christian blind-following than anything else I've ever heard of or experienced.
It was brought up by various morons hoping to be all prim-and-1920s about adoption. It was, thankfully, stopped by our[Illinois']Senate... Or House, the article is the first post.
Whoa bro, better slow down bro, don't wanna be a bro, bro.
I'm not saying that the child shouldn't be with them. I have no problems with the homosexual couple having a child. But I would no longer allow the couple at my church. If they were a homosexual couple who were truly in love, then I would certainly welcome them into the church with open arms. If they decided what they were doing was wrong, they wouldn't be allowed to divorce anyways, as the Bible is anti-divorce. So they would be allowed to live as they were, but they wouldn't have relations and they wouldn't adopt children. If they adopted a child, then they would be disfellowshipped from the church.
"Blind-following"? I have seen in my life my proof that the Bible's standards are the best way to live than anything else. You can't begin to imagine the sad, the moving, the pitiful things I have seen in my lifetime that have moved me to make the decisions I have made. I have adopted these ideals, and they are mine. Nobody can tell me otherwise.

You have contradicted yourself. WIN. Anyway, you stated earlier that you approve the measure allowing them to be turned away, because of an adult's opinion. Furthermore, while the bible may be anti-divorce, plenty of religious people I have met have divorced, are divorced, or plan on getting divorced.
And why would someone decide that the way they live is wrong? "Wrong" a subjective word.
Yes, blind-following. That is how I interpret Religion. Maybe not to you, but to me, it is. Find me an analogy for that, and I'll give ya credit for an extensive simile-forming mind.
Whoa bro, better slow down bro, don't wanna be a bro, bro.
ANYWAY I'm just lol'ing at how off-topic this went. I'm kind of neutral on this current debate. We don't know if we were created by Adam and Eve, or by the Big Bang. I choose to not care. Meh, I'm just happy for the way everything is. Go with the flow, you know?
P.S. Sorry for thhe bubbly attitude. Passover feats put me in a...lazy state of mind.XD
Communism: You have more water, everyone has more water!
The only problem with the points mentioned above is that they are situational, assuming that your religion/belief is "right". However, one's religion/belief can not be "right", because for each and every religion/belief, there is another religion/belief that contradicts it.
I am officially lost. I've read all the posts, and ended up lost.
This thread made me open my eyes to A LOT of things, paticularly religion.
Back to the regular topic;
I think gays should do what they want, whenever, wherever. But then I do think having a child is a bit far. Children are curious, and ask questions. Mostly the 'why' questions. I should know because I still am a child.
Just imagine this;
Pretend you were homosexual, and you just recently adopted a kid, depending on the age, he/she will ask questions now, or later. The child asks: "Why are you two together?" or "Where is the mom/dad?" how the parents explain, no one knows.
This is difficult for me because I'm not so good at explaining my own opinions. But I think you guys would get my piont I'm pretty sure.
Thing is, the homosexual parents would probably have to give the child up for adoption later on. And, I'm not against being gay/lesbian. But, not really for it either.
Religious people don't seem to understand that people WHO AREN'T a part of their religion *gasp* don't need to follow it's rules! So making a law about it makes no sense.
@Neon: EXACTLY. Society today is no longer ruled by a Religion, and when this Country was founded, it was the same. No Religion.
@Wulvezz: It's easy to get lost in this Thread.
By "having a child", do you mean "Adopting a child", or having a surrogate mother, and choosing one partner to be the father? And the "why" questions can be answered effectively with "Because, it's the choice I made. There are other choices, and I made this one". I just don't see why a homosexual would have to go through so much trouble to help raise a child.
if god didnt want same sex marraige or same sex couples then he would not have created humans with the ability to love the same sex.
people who stop a gay couple from going out is just wrong. these people are happy together. who are you to steal a persons happyness away from them. your religion might say that its "wrong" but what about theirs. theirs doesnt. so not only would you be takeing a HUMAN BEING'S happyness away, you will be attacking their religion as well. if u live in a place like the usa where theres freedom of religion you are going against your country.
last of all. who cares what other people do. worry about your own lives. no one wants you to mess with thier lives. nothing they are doing is hurting the way u live. just get over it and move on with your life.
I dream of a better tomorrow, where chickens can cross the road and not be questioned about their motives.
